ARTIST NOTE

This piece was originally meant to be hung in a show in Talkeetna, AK this summer (2020). I live a seasonal life and was intending to drive from Maine to Alaska, taking with me all of my gear and art supplies stuffed into my car. Unfortunately, I do not have the space or flexibility to bring with me framed prints as they are too bulky, fragile, and heavy. The solution was to mat the prints, and shrink wrap them so they were protected, presentable, and easily stackable in my car as I drove across the continent. Being an environmental artist, it was a difficult decision to use plastic in order to display my works, but it was the best solution at the time for the transient life I choose to live. Because of COVID-19 entry into Alaska has been limited and my job in Denali cut. So now I am selling them in this format.
